Darren Jones is the Chief Secretary to the Treasury, working as deputy to Chancellor Rachel Reeves MP and attends Cabinet. Darren is responsible for public spending across the whole of government, in addition to infrastructure delivery and digital transformation of public services.

First elected in 2017, Darren is the Member of Parliament for Bristol North West – the area of Bristol where he was born, grew up in and lives today. In opposition, Darren served as Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury and as Chairman of the House of Commons Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee. He was awarded ‘Select Committee Chair of the Year’ for his high profile work in holding business executives and ministers to account.
